Privacy Policy
Affiora is a SaaS platform for creating and publishing affiliate content. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to run Affiora:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, country, sign-in method, and account identifiers.
- Billing information, such as your plan, payment status, and billing identifiers. Payments are handled by our payment provider; Affiora does not store full card details.
- Your content, including product links or images, prompts, generated Pins, saved content, and publishing details.
- Connected-service information when you choose Google sign-in or connect Pinterest, such as account identifiers, granted permissions, selected boards, and publication results.
- Usage and technical information, such as searches, feature activity, IP address, device or browser type, timestamps, and security or error logs.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. Please do not upload content you do not have permission to use, including images of identifiable people without the required consent.
How we use information
We use information to create and manage your account, provide AI generation and publishing features, process subscriptions, send service messages, answer support requests, prevent fraud or abuse, improve Affiora, and meet legal obligations.
Under the GDPR, we rely on the performance of our contract with you for core account, billing, generation, storage, and user-directed publishing features; our legitimate interests for service improvement, security, and abuse prevention; legal obligations for matters such as accounting or lawful requests; and consent where the law requires it, such as for optional marketing or non-essential cookies. You may object when we rely on legitimate interests.
We do not sell your personal information or use your prompts, uploads, or generated content to train Affiora's own AI models.
AI and Pinterest
Affiora uses third-party AI services to generate images and text. Information you submit to an AI feature may be sent to the provider needed to complete your request. Providers may keep limited request data for safety, security, or legal reasons under their own policies.
Connecting Pinterest is optional. If you connect a Pinterest Business account, Affiora may read the public boards available to your account and publish only the Pins you choose and approve. We do not receive your Pinterest password. Connection credentials are encrypted and kept only while the account is connected. You can disconnect Pinterest in Affiora Settings. Pinterest processes information on its service under the Pinterest Privacy Policy.
When we share information
We share information only as needed with service providers that support hosting, authentication, storage, payments, email delivery, product research, security, and AI generation; with a platform you choose to connect, such as Pinterest; during a business transfer; or when required by law or needed to protect rights, users, or the Service.
Some providers operate outside Norway and the EEA, including in the United States. Our authentication, database, and file storage provider is hosted in the United States, which means account data and uploaded or generated content are stored there. Where required, we use approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
Cookies
We currently use only cookies and browser storage needed for sign-in, security, preferences, and core site functions. We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If that changes, we will update our notice and request consent where required. Learn more in our Cookie Notice.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed to provide Affiora, protect the Service, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements. Account content is generally kept until you delete it or close your account. Pinterest credentials are removed from active systems when you disconnect Pinterest. Security logs are normally kept for 90 days, billing records for five years where Norwegian accounting law requires it, and deleted data may remain in protected backups for up to 90 days.
An account-deletion request disables the account immediately. You may reverse the request within 15 days; after that, we remove the account and associated content from active systems, except information we must retain by law.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email privacy@affiora.app. We may verify your identity and will respond within the time required by law.
If you are in the EEA or Norway, you may also complain to your local data protection authority (in Norway, this is Datatilsynet). California residents may have additional privacy rights. Affiora does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and protected credential storage. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Affiora is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed to children under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Affiora changes. We will revise the date on this policy and provide additional notice when a change is material.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@affiora.app. General support is available at support@affiora.app.
