Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do when using Affiora. It applies to all users and is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Using the Service means you agree to this AUP.

2. Permitted uses

You may use Affiora to:

  • Generate Pinterest pin images, titles, descriptions, and tags for products you are legitimately promoting as an affiliate marketer.
  • Research products and evaluate their affiliate potential using the tools provided.
  • Save, organise, and export creative content for use in your own marketing channels.
  • Use outputs on Pinterest and other platforms in accordance with those platforms' terms and your affiliate programme agreements.

3. Prohibited content

You must not use the Service to generate, upload, store, or distribute:

Adult and sexual content

  • Sexually explicit, pornographic, or erotic material of any kind.
  • Sexualised depictions of any person, whether real or fictional.
  • Any sexual content involving or appearing to involve a person under 18. This is strictly prohibited and will be reported to relevant authorities where required by law.

Violence and harmful content

  • Content depicting graphic violence, gore, or abuse.
  • Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates physical harm to any person or group.
  • Content that facilitates or encourages self-harm or suicide.

Deceptive and misleading content

  • Fake or fabricated product reviews, testimonials, or ratings.
  • Content that falsely represents a product's features, price, availability, or quality.
  • Misleading affiliate disclosures or the omission of required disclosures.
  • Impersonation of any person, brand, or organisation.

Hateful and discriminatory content

  • Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.

Illegal content

  • Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, including unauthorised use of copyrighted images, logos, or trademarks.
  • Content that violates the right of publicity or privacy of any identifiable person without their consent.
  • Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.

Spam and platform manipulation

  • Automated or bulk pinning designed to manipulate platform algorithms.
  • Content designed to artificially inflate engagement metrics.
  • Keyword stuffing or other deceptive SEO or platform-gaming practices.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation, including FTC endorsement rules, GDPR, or affiliate programme terms.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data or Outputs from the Service.
  • Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.
  • Use the Service to generate content for purposes other than legitimate affiliate marketing and related creative work.
  • Use the Service or its Outputs to train, fine-tune, build, or benchmark a competing AI model or dataset.
  • Attempt to circumvent our content filters, safety measures, or technical controls.
  • Upload images of identifiable individuals without their knowledge and consent.
  • Use the Service to infringe, misappropriate, or dilute any trademark or trade dress.

5. Affiliate and platform compliance

You are solely responsible for:

  • Complying with the terms of each affiliate programme you are enrolled in, including Amazon Associates, Walmart Affiliates, Target Affiliates, and any other programme.
  • Making required affiliate disclosures on all published content in accordance with FTC rules and the laws of your jurisdiction.
  • Complying with Pinterest's Community Guidelines, Advertising Standards, and any other applicable platform policy.
  • Ensuring that product images you upload are used in a manner permitted by the source retailer and your affiliate agreement.

Affiora does not guarantee that content generated through the Service will comply with any third-party platform's policies, and we are not liable for any action taken against your accounts on those platforms.

6. Enforcement

We may take any of the following actions if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this AUP:

  • Warning. For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning and request that you remedy the conduct.
  • Suspension. For serious violations — including security threats, illegal conduct, deceptive practices, or repeated minor violations — we may immediately suspend your access to the Service.
  • Termination. For repeated or egregious violations, we may permanently terminate your account without a refund of any unused subscription period, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Reporting. Where required by law or where we determine it is appropriate, we will report violations to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities, and will preserve and disclose relevant data as required.

7. Reporting violations

If you become aware of content or conduct on the Service that violates this AUP, please report it to support@affiora.app with as much detail as possible.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
